
Welcome to the Jackson Historic District Commission Website !
The commission was created in 1994 to advise the town government on historic preservation issues and oversee the National Register Jackson Historic District, established in 1980, containing more than one hundred historic structures.


The Historic District Commission is tasked to:
* Preserve and protect buildings of historical and architectural value in the Jackson Historic District
* Foster and encourage preservation, restoration and use of historic buildings
* Develop and promote the historic district as a continuing tourist attraction
Our meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Banten House, 1516 Charter Street (across from the Main Street Market and Deli)
